Background

UMS Investment Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UiNVEST) is formerly known as UMS Link Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (ULink). ULink was incorporated on 25 May 1999 as a wholly-owned company of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) with a current authorised share capital of RM10,000,000.00 and a current paid-up share capital of RM5,000,000. The incorporation of UIHSB was approved by the Ministry of Finance on the 1st of August 2006 and the Ministry of Higher Education on 15 August 2006.

The company envisions to be the university's corporate entity that is capable of competing at the global arena and to excel in the business world through commercialisation of the university's invention, research and development, academic programmes, consultancy works, business venture and human capital development.

Moving forward, UMS Investment Holdings Sdn. Bhd. aims to generate more revenue for the university through their strategic business plan (2014-2048) that encompasses the following area of businesses:
